The Plasticity Forum will hold its 4th annual conference on June 8th and 9th in Cascais, Portugal.  The forum will bring together global business leaders and experts to present innovative solutions to address the growing plastic pollution and marine litter problem.

This year’s forum theme is “Designing for Circularity, Customer Engagement, Reverse Supply Chains and Reaching Scale.”

Or, in other words, how to achieve maximum profitability from waste outputs.

Consequently, key players in the shale oil and gas industries have a great deal to gain from attending this conference because the Plasticity Forum is unique in its focus on upstream outflow solutions.

For instance, Agilyx Corporation (Beaverton, OR), Cynar Plc (London, UK), RES Polyflow (Akron, OH), Americas Styrenics (The Woodlands, TX), Sealed Air (Charlotte, NC), and Tetra Tech (Pasadena, CA) aren’t the only ones interested in how we can all profit from tertiary outflows.

The discussions at the forum are not about the problems, but about the innovations and new programs which are being implemented, giving a wide range of opportunities for the shale oil and gas industries allowing them to build on their already significant role in the resource recovery aspects of the plastic waste spectrum.

The agenda includes several companies, which are leading the way in plastic recycling and transforming plastic waste into revenue streams.  This year’s event will also feature a keynote presentation on a new report on Plastic-to-Fuel, which offers a vast range of opportunities for those not only wanting to reduce the waste impact within communities, but for those who want to be involved in a new fuel sector.   This is an excellent forum for building collaborations and a wide range of knowledge within the entire spectrum of the plastic industry.

As Steve Russell, Vice President of Plastics for the American Chemistry Council said:  “We look forward to debuting a new report at Plasticity Forum which documents how these technologies are turning used plastic into value, as well as a publically available financial modelling tool that will help industry find the right technology to meet their needs.”

Other keynote speakers include Dr. Mike Biddle of MBA Polymers, and Andrew Morlet of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.   The two-day event will include presentations from over 20 innovators and experts from across the globe and a welcome message from the Mayor of Cascais, Dr. Carlos Carreiras.  For a full list of speakers and agenda, please visit www.plasticityforum.com.

The event venue will be the Pousada de Cascais – Cidadela Historic Hotel, a historic fortress which faces the Atlantic Ocean, now converted into a luxurious resort.  The event will also include a gala dinner on the 8th for all attendees.
