Last week, SandBox Logistics – the provider of trans-loading, storage, and last mile delivery of frac sand services – announced that it signed a contract with U.S. Well Services to support its growing operations in the Utica and Marcellus shale plays.
The agreement marks the expansion of SandBox into its fourth shale region in less than a year, adding to its existing operational footprint in the Bakken (ND), DJ (CO) and Eagle Ford (TX) basins.
Commenting on the agreement, Josh Oren, President and CEO of SandBox Logistics, said “This agreement represents an important milestone for SandBox and we are delighted that U.S. Well Services has chosen to deploy our proppant logistics solution in support of its operations. We look forward to supporting U.S. Well Services with additional SandBox crews as it expands its business and brings new customers online”
Also commenting, Brian Stewart, CEO of USWS, said “We are pleased to begin this relationship with SandBox Logistics. Our companies are fully aligned regarding the advancement of technologies that enhance operational efficiencies while lessening the environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing.”
